We ate at your restaurant during a visit to Chicago in September! We fell in LOVE with your multi grain pancakes and can't find anything to compare here! Do you sell the multi grain mix???? Thank you so much!
-Heather

We got the advice to eat at your restaurant from the concierge at the Weston hotel while in Chicago for the flower show at the Navy Pier on 3/7/10, it has to be the best breakfast we have eaten in Chicago yet. We will sure be back again, Congrats, Also we had the best waitress ever, don't know her name but she is a student from Springfield, Il. Thanks again.

Had one of the best brunches ever this weekend while visiting from Boston. The cinnamon bun I had was so good that I had to return just before I left for the airport to pick up 4 more. It was worth carrying them home on my lap...seriously the best cinnamon buns I have ever had. Shared them with some friends at work and they agreed! Despite is being so busy, the service and speed was great...actually it was unexpected and I was suprised when my banana bread french toast came so fast. Everyone at my table had something different, and we all sampled each other's food. My frech toast was amazing, as was the bananas foster crepes. I love the menu, everything sounded delicious and different. It was so hard to choose just one thing to eat! It made me want to stay in Chicago longer so I could keep trying more things! Every time I come back to Chicago I will surely revisit Yolk! And I will gladly recommend Yolk to other friends who may travel to Chicago. I would definitely be interested in having some baked goods shipped to Boston, or perhaps the pancake mix. So yummy! Thank you!!

My friend Charie and I visited Chicago for the first time last Nov 3-7. I saw Yolk on our way to Mass on Thursday morning. I told Charie that we should eat at this restaurant after Mass since I love eggs for breakfast. I was not sorry for choosing your restaurant. We were quickly led to our table by the charming store manager. The place was very clean, the food prices were very reasonable and the service was excellent, specially by our server Denise. The eggs Benedict I ordered was so good and the serving was so hefty, I did not have to eat lunch that day. My breakfast at Yolk is one Chicago experience I shall always remember. I wish Yolk would open a restaurant in Manila soon.

I was on vacation with my friends in Chicago and went to Yolk a couple of mornings. Absolutely amazing, the best breakfast ever. I'm back in Ireland now and only wish you guys could open in Dublin or something. haha Thank you and I wish you so much success in the future, which I'm sure of!!
-Ian

I visited your restaurant about two months ago and have never had a better breakfast in my life. My Girlfriend and I think your cream cheese and raspberry filled french toast is amazing!!
-Ryan

I just wanted to compliment again on how fantastic this restaurant is! My boyfriend and I stayed for a week in Chicago just a couple blocks from Yolk, and decided to eat breakfast there on our first morning. We were so thrilled by how fantastic it was that we ate every breakfast there for the entire week! Each day we tried something different; the eggs benny and the banana nut french toast were superb, but everything else we ate was awesome too! The meals were reasonably priced and most days we couldn't clear our plates! The service was efficient and friendly. It was worth the 45 minute wait on Saturday morning! The only bad thing I have to say about Yolk is that you can't get it outside of Chicago, which makes eating there regularly a bit of a challenge for this western Canadian! I'm definitely going to recommend Yolk to anyone I know who is planning a trip to Chicago! Thanks for the great experience.

I was at a wedding in Oct. of '07, Yolk was THE BEST ever...I wanted to bring them home with me...staff, food...everything....by far better than anything I have ever experienced!!!!

My husband and I were visiting Chicago last weekend (July 24-26) and we read about your restaurant in our hotel guide. We stayed at the Sofitel hotel on E. Chestnut and decided to walk to the Yolk to work up a great appetite on Saturday morning. I just want to applaud you for how wonderful the service is, how delicious the food is, and how funky and hip the atmosphere is. We enjoyed our meal so much that we came back for brunch the very next morning. I am pleased to say we were not let down the second time around either. Hats off to your staff. Can't remember the last time we had such great customer service. We will certainly be back in the future. I have friends visiting in September and you will be highly recommended. Keep up the great work!

My boyfriend and I decided to take a spontaneous trip to Chicago from St. Louis. We woke up early morning and randomly started walking around. We came across Yolk and we thought "why no?". Were both really glad we tried your restaurant because it has the most AMAZING breakfast menu. You can get anything you want and top of it all its fresh. We came back the next morning and we'll definitely be back on another trip.

I recently attended a conference in Chicago. Most of the places near my hotel (including the hotel itself) offered high priced breakfasts, plus they weren't open early enough to accommodate my schedule. Yolk was such a pleasant surprise! It was the best breakfast I had during my five day trip. The menu has a lot of variety and is a good value. The staff was courteous and I never felt rushed. I definitely recommend it!

My family flew in from Philadelphia and we drove up from the St Louis area for the weekend. I must say breakfast at your restaurant was worth the trip! The food was amazing, the service friendly and wonderful. The restaurant is fun and very spacious. I just wish we all didn't live so far away because I know this would become our Sunday routine. Thanks for being a great part of our weekend. (June 14, 2009). We have shared the name of your restaurant with friends who are coming to your city and I know they will be just as happy!
-Nancy

I had breakfast at your Michigan Avenue location yesterday (July 6, 2009). Then menu, the food, the service, the vibe---ALL WERE EXCELLENT! I'm glad I don't live in Chicago because if I did, your crepes would have me there every day!
-Sheba

2/28 was our son's second birthday, and we had his uncle and grandma in town from DC for the day, and we couldn't have asked for a better start for such a special day. Hands down, you have the best pancakes I have ever tasted, and the fact that you gave our little one his own special birthday dessert crepe will never be forgotten. We might not make it in to the city very often, but when we do, I know the first place we will be going. Every member of your staff made us feel welcome. Thank you.
-Dan

Yolk is now my number one favorite breakfast place, nationwide. The restaurant itself is clean and sizeable -- even the waiting area! The food is unquestionably the best I've tasted for breakfast -- the omelettes are creatively delicious and the pancakes are wonderful (especially with strawberries and maple syrup). However, it's the service that really stood out for me. I've eaten here twice in the last 10 days, and both times we had Lisa as our waitress. Not only was she punctual and helpful, but she was as pleasant as could be. Her sincere concern for our dining experience made our breakfast even better. If I remember, I'll ask for Lisa the next time I go.

I had the opportunity to have breakfast at Yolk this past week-end. I saw your ad in one of the dining guides at the Sheraton. My partner and I walked down and had an incredible breakfast. I was struck right away by how clean the whole restaurant was; especially the bathroom, a sure sign of a well run and clean restaurant. My eggs benedict were wonderful, as were the potatoes and the great fruit. I have to eat breakfast at restaurants a great deal and truly appreciate the tremendous food and coffee you serve as well as the environment. In fact, it was so good we came back Sunday morning for another dose before we had to return home.
Again, thanks so much for such a great experience.
-Gary

I was recently in Chicago visiting my sister. We ate twice at Yolk, and absolutely loved it. Is there any possibility that one would open in Minnesota? We definitely need more breakfast places, and yours was fabulous!
-Joni

Yolk has become very popular in the south loop - so much so that many of us travel from the west loop to enjoy your food. We really, really wish you would open a west loop eatery where we believe the reception would be enormous for your wonderful concept. You may even want to extend the concept in the west loop with a full day service including dinner. That would be so excellent.
-John

I want to thank you for the excellent food and service we received on July 4th at your establishment. The Canadian Lions in attendance have mentioned many times since, what an excellent breakfast your staff prepared and served. They have been accustomed to the old standard hotel buffets, soggy scrambled eggs, overcooked bacon and sausage and lukewarm coffee. YOLK has made many friends in Multiple District "A" Ontario, Canada and we will spread the word that anyone visiting your city would be well advised to treat themselves to a first class meal there.
-Dave

My partner and I recently visited Chicago for the first time; we stayed at Chicago's Essex Inn. When we asked for a breakfast restaurant the desk clerk suggested Yolk. Our first morning there, we had an omelet and Eggs benedict... we thought the food was great, and so was the service. Even though were told about several breakfast venues in Chicago, we decided to eat breakfast at Yolk every morning. We were always pleased, and thought your place was clean, well managed (Gentleman with short dark hair must be a manager, very organized, on top of things, and friendly) food was excellent and prices fair.

On September 23rd, my girlfriend Faye and I had the express privilege to stumble upon your restaurant on a truly exhilarating Sunday morning. We both have long-held loves for breakfast and everything about it, and have made it a habit to find the best breakfast spot in Chicago. Our journey is complete. Right when you walk through the door, Yolk makes a statement. This statement, on my interpretation, is something close to "Welcome to Heaven. High five!" The design is both unique and exciting.
Honestly, for me, the design is enough to make me happy. But you were better than that. You knew the food is ultimately what would make us want to come back. It was thoroughly difficult to choose from your stunning menu. As a person with a deeply profound love of all things 'breakfast,' your menu is both expansive and tantalizing to all the senses. I decided on the bacon batter waffle, and my life changed forever. The waffle was delivered in haste, but to the contrary, it took me something in the neighborhood of 20-25 minutes to finish eating it. This isn't completely blamed on the waffle's girth (which was respectable and appreciated), but because after every bite, I would slap the table, and proclaim its glories.
Yolk, I've been living a lie. I thought I had had amazing food. I've spent a lot of money on food that my colleagues told me was enticing, and I believed them when I ate it. At Yolk, I spent 8 dollars and my mental landmark of "delicious" had been established forever. You did it. I realize how many adjectives I've used, and I assure you I am not on drugs. Faye and I deeply enjoyed our visit to Yolk, and it would be nothing short of absurd to think we won't be back again with more friends.

I just found your card when cleaning out my wallet. My wife and I were up there for the Marathon a couple of weeks ago and stumbled upon your restaurant. We ended up eating there 5 of the next 6 mornings, right up to the day we left. Great food, excellent service, and a nice atmosphere, but at reasonable prices. You guys are on to a great concept there so keep it up. The staff is very quick without seeming to rush the customers. Very well trained. Anyway, just wanted to say good job and thanks for making our trip that much more enjoyable.
-John and Deri

Will you guys be open New Years Day? I’m planning a trip into the city for New Years and you guys are my FAVORITE for breakfast!
-Melissa

We have talked about visiting your restaurant for a year now. When we find out friends or families are visiting Chicago, we tell them that they MUST go have breakfast at "Yolk". We stayed just down the street last summer and had breakfast almost everyday at Yolk. We were thrilled every time. The best breakfast we have ever had, anywhere! The restaurant is spotless, the wait staff great and of course, the food is phenomenal! We will definitely visit the next time we are in Chicago.
-Kathleen

My husband and I arrived in Chicago Thursday morning July 17th at 0630 am and walked around looking for a place to eat breakfast. We could not check in to our hotel until noon. We found Yolk! Our service was excellent though I apologize I cannot remember our server's name. Your restaurant was beautiful and very clean. The omelettes we had were the best ever, my husband had "The Works" and I had the "Mediterranean". Thank you all so much for helping us enjoy our stay in Chicago!!
